Endrick has officially said goodbye to Olympique Lyonnais. A short spell that will remain unforgettable for both the player and the fans. Mission accomplished.

Endrick made his mark at OL. But now it is truly over. Loaned for six months by Real Madrid, the 19-year-old striker will not return to Lyon next season. His return to Spain is now confirmed, and Endrick himself announced it in a long video posted on his social media accounts.

Endrick’s Emotional Farewell to Lyon

In a powerful message, the Brazilian compared his difficult period at Madrid to a daily battle. “I didn’t decide to kill a lion every day. I decided to become one,” he said, before thanking OL for helping him rediscover confidence, joy and playing time after several complicated months in Madrid.

With 8 goals and 8 assists in 21 matches in all competitions, Endrick quickly won over Lyon supporters in just a few months. Deeply attached to the club and the city, the player selected by Carlo Ancelotti for the 2026 World Cup also spoke emotionally about the upcoming birth of his first child, explaining that Lyon will remain “in his heart forever.”

Despite the strong connection, the adventure is over. “A lion cannot stay in the same place,” concluded the Brazilian wonderkid in his farewell message, which ended in French with a simple but powerful: “Merci pour tout Lyon.” Endrick is now expected back at Real Madrid, where José Mourinho could count on him next season. That appears to be the plan.
