Roberto De Zerbi clarifies his future and expresses his desire to stay at OM… but that doesn’t mean he isn’t thinking about what comes next. He even has a very good idea of what he wants to do.

Under contract until 2027, coach Roberto De Zerbi sees his future at Olympique de Marseille. Interviewed by Sportitalia, the Italian manager confirmed his intention to commit longterm on the Marseille bench. No question of leaving right away, after the wild rumors of last summer.

Regarding a possible move to Saudi Arabia, De Zerbi immediately tempers expectations: “There is a time for everything. I don’t criticize those who make that choice, everyone has their reasons. I hope to stay many more years in Marseille, where football is booming.”

He also addresses the noise surrounding a supposed contact with Inter Milan this summer: “No contact this summer. None. I would like to return to Italy one day. AC Milan was my adoptive mother; I am very attached to it, as well as to Galliani, Braida, and everyone who helped me. But my career continued without them.”

In conclusion, the message is clear: De Zerbi is fully projecting himself at OM, where he wants to build for the long term. Marseille can count on him — at least for a few seasons.
