Chelsea Comeback Satistically Impossible as PSG Look Too Strong

After a commanding 5–2 victory against Chelsea in the first leg, Paris Saint-Germain head into the Champions League round of 16 return match with a comfortable advantage. For Bertrand Latour, the Parisians should not have much to fear when they travel to Stamford Bridge.

Latour does not believe in the possibility of a comeback. Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night to face Chelsea in the second leg. After their emphatic win at the Parc des Princes, Luis Enrique’s players appear to be in an ideal position to secure qualification. Bertrand Latour also believes that the scenario of a Blues comeback seems highly unlikely.

Chelsea’s Lack of Experience Could Prove Costly

According to the Canal+ pundit, the London side still lacks experience at this level. “A comeback? I think they’re safe from that. They won last season, they know how to handle these moments. If they had simply accepted defeat, they would still have a chance to qualify.”

Despite everything, Bertrand Latour remains confident about PSG’s chances. He believes the Parisians should be able to score at Stamford Bridge, which would make Chelsea’s task even more difficult.

“I think PSG will score at Stamford Bridge, so I imagine they’re safe from any upset, even if Luis Enrique’s men had a lot of success in the first leg.”
