Gianluigi Donnarumma’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain is becoming increasingly precarious as the transfer window nears its end.

With coach Luis Enrique no longer considering him part of the team’s plans, Manchester City is eyeing the Italian goalkeeper but is hesitant to meet PSG’s asking price.

According to reports from L’Équipe, City has only offered €15 million, which is half of the €30 million that PSG is asking for after already slashing the initial price by €50 million. The Parisians are eager to move on, but City seems to be playing a waiting game, possibly delaying their move until January or even next summer to snag Donnarumma for an even lower price—or potentially for free by 2026.

The situation is further complicated by the fate of City’s current keeper, Ederson, who is rumored to be on his way out. The Brazilian international is attracting interest from clubs like Al-Nasr and Galatasaray, and his departure could pave the way for a new goalkeeper to join the roster. Meanwhile, young keeper Bento hasn’t impressed Jorge Jesus at Al-Shabab, which could create additional openings in the market.

PSG, however, is feeling the pressure as the clock ticks down on the transfer window, and they desperately need to resolve this dilemma soon.

PSG Seeks Resolution Amid Growing Tensions

Donnarumma himself seems to have made his choice, indicating that it’s either Manchester City or nothing. His camp has stated he is willing to wait until January to complete a move to the Premier League.

This determination puts PSG in a tight spot, as they are left with an unwanted goalkeeper, a plummeting asking price, and a situation that is becoming more complex by the day. Time is running out, and the stakes are high for everyone involved.

With just days left until the transfer window closes, PSG finds itself in a bind. They hoped for a swift sale to turn the page on Donnarumma’s chapter, but instead, they’re facing a tricky negotiation with a rival unwilling to pay a fair price. As both clubs maneuver through this high-stakes chess match, the outcome remains uncertain, leaving fans anxious about what the future holds for the once-coveted goalkeeper.
