Just a day after securing their fourth trophy of the 2024-2025 season, PSG delighted their fans with another announcement: Fabian Ruiz is staying put.
Once seen as almost surplus to requirements at the start of last season, the 29-year-old Spaniard has transformed into a key figure under Luis Enrique. According to journalist Achille Ash, Ruiz has agreed to a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2029.
Signed from Napoli in 2022 for €25m, he has since become a central pillar in the Parisian midfield.
PSG’s New Contracts are different
In three seasons at PSG, Ruiz has played 133 matches, scored 14 goals, provided 21 assists, and lifted eight trophies — including the Champions League. He has accepted adjusted salary terms, combining a base wage with performance-related bonuses.
Before joining Paris, his honours included a Coppa Italia and a Serie A runner-up medal with Napoli. Now indispensable, Fabian Ruiz will continue dictating PSG’s tempo for the next four seasons.
