Hakimi, Marquinhos or Dembélé: Who Will Be PSG’s Next Captain?

PSG players are set to vote for their captain for the new season, with Luis Enrique once again leaving the decision to the dressing room.

Marquinhos, the long-standing skipper, remains the favourite, but the arrival of Illia Zabarnyi could reduce his playing time and open the door to competition.

According to L’Équipe, the Brazilian is expected to retain the armband, but the vice-captain hierarchy will change following the expected departures of Kimpembe and Donnarumma. Achraf Hakimi, already vice-captain last season, is likely to take on a bigger leadership role.

Vitinha, a key on-field relay for Luis Enrique, could also move up the ranks, while Fabian Ruiz is valued for his professionalism and influence.

Lucas Hernandez and Ousmane Dembélé are also in contention, with the French winger’s sacrifice and positive presence making him a potential surprise choice in this decisive vote.
