Luis Enrique is already starting to think about retirement. While he is expected to soon extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2030, the Spanish coach hinted that this adventure could be the last of his managerial career.

Luis Enrique is planning to stop one day. Not immediately, but in a few years. And according to him, the decision is already made. In an interview with Spanish outlet La Nueva España, the PSG manager admitted that he does not want to coach for too long. “I don’t want to be a grandfather still coaching,” he joked.

Luis Enrique also joked about his younger brother Felipe, saying he wanted to retire before him. “I think beyond the age of sixty… In fact, I tease my brother Felipe by telling him: ‘I’ll have to retire before you.’ He’s one year younger than me, he’s 55, and he’ll retire at 61… so do the math,” the Spaniard said.

Meanwhile, PSG are still hoping to win many more trophies with him. His contract extension is expected to be officially announced after the Champions League final against Arsenal scheduled for May 30.
