Achraf Hakimi winning the African Ballon d’Or is nothing short of a surprise. However, it still deserves a great message from his close friend, Kylian Mbappé. Despite his move to Real Madrid, the two have remained close and often spend their vacations together.
On Instagram, Mbappé celebrated his friend with a strong message — “The king of Africa… A reward more than deserved! I love you my brother” — while Dembélé, himself the Ballon d’Or 2025, praised the trophy as “well-deserved.”
Hakimi stays at PSG, Mbappé has left
Hakimi, honored in Rabat in front of Osimhen and Salah, adds another distinction to PSG. His bond with Mbappé, formed at PSG and strengthened off the field, remains intact despite the Frenchman’s departure to Real Madrid.
Despite rumors of a departure, Hakimi chose to extend his contract in Paris, where he became the best African player of the year.
