The financial dispute between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé (27 years old, scorer of 38 goals in 32 matches across all competitions this season) continues to unfold with a new development.
The standoff between Mbappé and PSG is nearing its conclusion, but it is not entirely over yet. At the end of 2025, the capital club was ordered by the labor court to pay approximately €61 million to its former striker, following a dispute over unpaid wages and various bonuses.
Ongoing Financial Settlement Between PSG and Kylian Mbappé
Since that ruling, PSG has paid most of the outstanding amounts. However, the matter is not fully resolved. According to L’Équipe, the Parisian club recently made an additional payment of €4 million, covering part of the remaining sums owed for paid leave and accrued interest.
Out of the €6 million still due under this specific category, around €2 million remains to be paid to the captain of the French national team in order to fully settle the case. At the same time, further discussions are ongoing between representatives of both sides. PSG is reportedly seeking for its former player to waive the obligation to publish the court’s ruling on his official website, a requirement included in the judicial decision. Negotiations are therefore continuing behind the scenes in an effort to reach a comprehensive agreement and finally close the chapter on this highly publicized dispute between the Parisian club and one of its former stars.
