The season isn’t quite over for PSG yet — but the holidays are already looking short. Luis Enrique’s men will face Chelsea in the Club World Cup final this Sunday, July 13 (9pm). Once that’s over, a brief pause awaits the squad… but only just.
As outlined by the LFP’s collective agreement, PSG players will get a three-week break starting Monday. The squad will return for medical tests on Monday, August 4, before hitting the training pitch the following day, Tuesday, August 5.
Supercup and Ligue 1 coming fast
It’s a tight turnaround for the Parisians, who will have just over a week to prepare for the UEFA Super Cup clash with Tottenham on August 13 in Udine. Four days later, they kick off their Ligue 1 campaign on August 17 away at Nantes.
This intense schedule could pose a challenge to proper preseason prep, though the players’ legal rest time is being fully respected, as confirmed by the UNFP.
One thing’s for sure: PSG will need to hit the ground running… and fast.
