A new chapter begins for Ansu Fati. Unveiled by AS Monaco on Thursday, the former Barcelona prodigy made his ambitions clear: he’s not in France for redemption—he’s here to make noise.
Loaned by Barça for the season, the 22-year-old winger is eager to reignite his career: “I’m not here for revenge, just to enjoy football again and help Monaco return to where it belongs.” After a tough stint at Brighton, Fati says he’s fit and focused: “I feel good, I’m working hard to get back to my best.”
“We’re Here to Make Life Hard for PSG”
Fati didn’t shy away from the big topic—PSG. “They’re a great team, Champions League winners. But we’re here to make life as difficult as possible for them. That’s the goal,” he stated.
He also mentioned his personal ties in Paris: “I have friends at PSG—Luis Enrique gave me my Spain debut, and Dembélé and I shared great moments at Barça. I wish them the best—except against us.”
Teaming up with Paul Pogba, a childhood idol, Fati is hungry to shine and fight his way back into the Spain national team. Monaco just might have a game-changer.
