The Seleção is set to reconnect with its roots. According to journalist Lauro Jardim (O Globo), Brazil’s home shirt for the 2026 World Cup will be directly inspired by the legendary 1970 kit worn by Pelé and his teammates during their 4–1 triumph over Italy.
Nike is keeping the famous yellow, but in a refreshed version. Nicknamed “Yellow Canary”, the new shade is softer and brighter, giving a modern twist to Brazil’s timeless identity.
To complete the elegant, retro-inspired design, subtle details in “Light Mint” and “Geode Teal” will be added, bringing a contemporary edge, reports Footy Headlines.
The shorts will combine light blue, mint green, and white — perfectly in line with the refreshed visual identity. The result: a classic silhouette with a modern edge, designed to make history again.
