Neymar hasn’t given up on his dream: returning to the Seleção and playing the 2026 World Cup. Sidelined since October 2023 and repeatedly held back by injuries, the Santos forward knows he’s in a race against time. And Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil’s national team coach, has now laid out the exact roadmap he must follow.
Carlo Ancelotti has delivered the “miracle recipe” for Neymar to make it to 2026. And it’s pretty simple: work hard, get fit, and play better.
“Neymar is one of the players who can go to the World Cup. He still has six months to earn his spot on the final list,” the Italian said in a press conference. “Our job is simple: observe. Him, and everyone else, so we don’t make mistakes when choosing the final squad.”
Neymar and Brazil: The Last Dance? Maybe
In other words: perform, stay healthy, and string games together. A clear roadmap — but a demanding one.
Now the question is whether Neymar can regain a strong enough level at club level to convince Ancelotti… and earn one last World Cup chapter with Brazil.
