Les Bleus received generally strong ratings after their victory against Morocco. Following their 2-0 quarter-final win at the 2026 World Cup, Kylian Mbappé, Manu Koné and Didier Deschamps were the standout performers according to L’Équipe.
The French national team continues its journey in this 2026 World Cup. Qualified for the semi-finals after a controlled success against Morocco, Les Bleus delivered a solid overall performance, even if not every individual stood out. In its post-match ratings, L’Équipe highlighted three key figures from the night.
Mbappé Leads Standout Performances for France
Kylian Mbappé was awarded a rating of 7. A scorer and provider, the French captain once again made his mark in a major fixture. Despite an ankle issue and being substituted late in the game, the Real Madrid forward confirmed his central role in this French side.
Manu Koné also earned a 7. Very active in midfield, the Frenchman brought intensity, energy and balance. Didier Deschamps received the same rating, underlining how the coach’s game plan was praised after this well-managed qualification.
Behind this trio, several players were rated 6: Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Adrien Rabiot, Lucas Digne, William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano and Mike Maignan. Michael Olise and Jules Koundé were given a 5, slightly below the rest. Still, the main takeaway remains clear: France is through to the semi-finals and continues to build momentum in this World Cup.
