It’s the end of an era. At 37, Ivan Rakitic has officially announced his retirement from football, following a final stint with Hajduk Split.
Rakitic calls time on a glittering career. Born in Möhlin, Switzerland, the Croatian midfielder leaves behind a legacy of class, consistency, and silverware.
In his trophy cabinet: a Champions League title (2015), four La Liga titles with Barcelona, two Europa League triumphs with Sevilla (2014, 2023), and a World Cup final with Croatia in 2018.
With 106 caps, 15 goals, and 16 assists for the Vatreni, Rakitic stands as one of Croatia’s all-time greats. A graceful and decisive player—his impact on the game will be long remembered.
