According to several consistent sources, negotiations are currently at a standstill. The reason: salary demands considered far above the club’s internal wage structure. This stance has reportedly caused some internal confusion, especially given how heavily Paris has invested in developing and integrating the attacking midfielder.
A Risky Standoff Over Contract Demands
PSG have reportedly submitted a long-term extension offer running until 2030. However, Mayulu’s camp is said to be seeking a significant pay rise. Internally, some believe it is dangerous to “play with fire” when dealing with a management team determined to maintain wage consistency within its long-term project.
