José Mourinho is preparing a real revolution at Real Madrid. According to The Athletic, the Portuguese coach wants to reshape his squad around a 4-2-3-1 system, with several major signings expected, particularly in defence and midfield.
The biggest losers could be the French internationals. Ferland Mendy and Eduardo Camavinga are reportedly on the list of players being pushed toward the exit, while Aurélien Tchouaméni could also be sacrificed if Camavinga ultimately stays.
Bellingham and Mbappé at the Heart of Mourinho’s Project
By contrast, Jude Bellingham is considered an untouchable figure. Mourinho sees the Englishman as his future No. 10 and has already spoken with him before the World Cup to present his project.
In attack, no major revolution is expected. Kylian Mbappé will remain the Merengues’ attacking leader alongside Vinicius and Rodrygo. “Mbappé is a phenomenal player and I will do everything I can to help him become even better,” the Portuguese coach reportedly said. Mourinho also wants to keep Brahim Diaz while signing a striker with an impact-sub profile, similar to Joselu.
