Former Olympique de Marseille player Vitinha expressed his deep sadness following the tragedy that occurred in Trévoux, which claimed the lives of his two nephews.
In a message posted on Instagram, the forward, who now plays for Genoa, announced that the two children who died, aged 3 and 5, were the sons of his cousin Bruno. “My family is in mourning,” he wrote, referring to a tragedy that has deeply affected his loved ones.
A Gas Explosion That Shook Trévoux
The incident occurred after an explosion caused by a gas leak in a residential building, resulting in the death of the two children. The tragedy has deeply impacted the town of Trévoux and the entire Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Wishing to support his family during this ordeal, Vitinha also shared an online fundraiser to provide assistance and a measure of “comfort” to his grieving relatives.
