Antoine Kombouaré is keeping a smile on his face despite the slightly crazy dream surrounding Paris FC and Jürgen Klopp. After Antoine Arnault’s ambitious comments on RMC, the Parisian coach reacted with calmness and lucidity regarding his future.
The PFC boss had excited supporters by admitting he dreams of one day convincing the former Liverpool F.C. manager to join the Paris project. “If we reach the Champions League, I’d love to convince Jürgen Klopp,” he said during After Foot.
Kombouaré Stays Calm About Klopp Rumors
But Kombouaré does not seem offended at all by those public comments. “Never in my life would I complain. He’s the boss, he’s the one paying me,” the Kanak coach answered honestly on RMC.
The former Paris Saint-Germain manager knows perfectly well that Paris FC wants to grow quickly and aim very high. “I’ve never won the Champions League. I know my place,” he added with sincerity.
While the Klopp dream may remain a long-term fantasy, Paris FC still relies on Kombouaré, who has completely revived the team since arriving in February. The big question now is whether the 62-year-old coach will continue the adventure next season.
