On the eve of the Champions League play-off second leg against Paris Saint-Germain, Sébastien Pocognoli addressed Paul Pogba’s situation, with the midfielder still sidelined at AS Monaco.
Will Paul Pogba play again for Monaco this season? Out of action since December 5, 2025 and limited to just 30 minutes so far this campaign, the French midfielder has kept uncertainty surrounding his return.
Uncertainty Surrounding Paul Pogba’s Comeback at Monaco
Speaking at a press conference, his coach hinted at positive developments without setting a specific date: “It’s starting to become a bit clearer, so yes, we hope to see him back with us before the next international break, in training, and to build during that break toward something positive.”
The message remains cautious. There is no intention to rush the process, but the idea of a gradual return is taking shape. Pocognoli emphasized: “He is focused, he is also good for the team, even if we don’t see him much. Everyone has their own plan, and his is clearly defined.”
Now the question is whether this glimmer of hope will finally lead to a competitive comeback. On the Rock, the wait goes on.
