Signed from River Plate for €45m including bonuses, Franco Mastantuono (18) could already make his debut for Real Madrid against Osasuna on Tuesday in La Liga’s opening match. His coach Xabi Alonso has been full of praise for the young Argentine winger.
“The first time I spoke with him, I was very surprised by his personality. He was only 17, but already carried himself like a man, full of confidence. He showed no fear at the idea of joining Real Madrid,” Alonso said in a press conference.
The coach highlighted Mastantuono’s maturity, fighting spirit, and South American edge, while insisting on his technical brilliance. “He has an incredible left foot. He’s very good, and yes, he could play tomorrow.”
For Madrid fans, anticipation is already high: the wonderkid may be about to showcase his talent at the Bernabéu sooner than expected.
