José Mourinho’s return to Real Madrid now seems to be taking a completely crazy turn. While Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that direct talks have been ongoing for several weeks between the Portuguese manager and the Madrid board, a new revelation from Spain is already setting Real fans on fire.
Mourinho has reportedly already spoken with Kylian Mbappé. According to journalist Miguel Serrano on Onda Cero, the likely future Real Madrid coach has already exchanged with the French superstar. The news suggests that the “Special One” is already actively preparing his big return behind the scenes. Some Spanish sources even claim that Mbappé is directly involved in the choice of the club’s next manager.
Mourinho Wants Full Control at Real Madrid
The Mourinho case also appears to be increasingly advanced. According to Diario AS, the Portuguese coach has already presented his conditions to Florentino Pérez before returning to the Madrid bench. He reportedly wants a major role in the transfer market and total freedom in managing the dressing room.
“Everyone must stay in their role,” Mourinho reportedly made clear to the Real Madrid hierarchy. A way to avoid the internal tensions he experienced during some of his previous jobs. Meanwhile, Benfica already understands it will be extremely difficult to keep its coach, and according to COPE radio, the deal is now close to being completed, with an official announcement expected right after the end of the season.
If the discussions with Mbappé are confirmed, it would mainly show that Mourinho wants to quickly build his future Real Madrid around the French star.
