The French national team may have to do without Marcus Thuram and N’Golo Kanté on Tuesday against Sweden in the Round of 16 of the World Cup. Two potential absences that would come at the worst possible time as Les Bleus enter the knockout stage.

Didier Deschamps will likely have to cope without both players against Sweden. According to L’Équipe, Marcus Thuram is dealing with calf pain. The French striker, who only came on late against Iraq (3-0), did not take part in group training sessions on Saturday and Sunday. He is therefore expected to withdraw from the match.
