A surreal scene unfolded this Wednesday at Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University, less than 24 hours after PSG’s 7-2 demolition of Leverkusen, as Nasser Al-Khelaïfi made a grand entrance for a conference that quickly turned into a celebration worthy of the Parc des Princes.
The packed amphitheater erupted the moment he walked in, and in seconds, the academic calm was replaced by the roar of a full Parisian crowd. Students stood, sang, and chanted, even breaking into the PSG supporters’ anthem “Tous ensemble on chantera!” (“All together we’ll sing!”).
Smiling and visibly moved, the PSG president couldn’t resist pulling out his phone to film the scene. The image quickly went viral, showing Al-Khelaïfi at the Sorbonne, surrounded by fans, soaking up a Parc des Princes atmosphere.

“Never think small”
After the cheers, Al-Khelaïfi delivered an inspiring speech about PSG’s rise and the mindset behind their Champions League triumph. “We used to say Dream Bigger, but we stopped, because we didn’t just want to dream, we wanted to build. I always believed we’d win that special trophy. I didn’t know when, but I knew we would. Never think small. It’s the details that make the difference.”
He also paid tribute to the players who helped shape PSG’s modern era:
“Every player has laid a stone, from Mbappé to Zlatan, from Cavani to today’s heroes. The collective is the soul of PSG. With the best coach in the world, and the best fans, anything is possible.”
The Sorbonne erupted in applause, and for one unforgettable moment, the historic university became a red and blue cauldron.
This time, PSG conquered hearts, without a ball, but with pure passion.
