Just weeks before the next World Cup, Lionel Messi has spoken about the national teams he believes are best equipped to lift the trophy. And for the Argentine superstar, several countries clearly stand out ahead of the tournament.

Lionel Messi already has his favorites. The 2022 world champion believes France remains one of the most impressive teams in international football right now. “France are very strong again, with so many top-level players,” Messi explained.

Messi Highlights France, Spain and Brazil

The Inter Miami forward also named Spain and Brazil among the major favorites, reminding everyone that those national teams are always dangerous when it comes to major international competitions.
