In a surprising turn of events in Switzerland, the humble YF Juventus football club has taken to the pitch wearing an old FC Barcelona jersey. They’ve simply replaced the Catalan club’s logo with their own, creating a bizarre yet eye-catching look.
Unexpected Jersey Choice
This unexpected decision stems from the club’s sporting director, a self-proclaimed fan of Barcelona. He has openly expressed his desire to inspire his team by adopting both the visual identity and playing philosophy of the Blaugrana.
The players sport the instantly recognizable colors of blue and garnet, proudly displaying the Swiss club’s crest. This unusual fashion choice has generated a flurry of reactions on social media, ranging from laughter to playful mockery.
Logo Mishap and Club Response
❗️Swiss fourth division club YF Juventus recently played a match wearing Barcelona's 2022-23 third kit with the Barça crest covered by their own badge. Their assistant coach explained the kit choice was due to the sport director's admiration for FC Barcelona.

However, during a recent match, the logo fell off, revealing the original Barcelona crest underneath. “The glue didn’t hold,” explained YF Juventus vice-president Piero Bauert, speaking to the Swiss daily Aargauer Zeitung.
Despite potential backlash from Nike or FC Barcelona, Bauert reassured fans, stating, “I have good contacts with FC Barcelona, and a contract allows us to use these jerseys.” He also mentioned that the team would sport another Barcelona kit later in the season.
