Xabi Alonso is moving very close to Liverpool. According to information from FutDestrangis, the English club and the Spanish coach are said to be on the verge of reaching an agreement.
The former iconic Reds midfielder is even said to be just a step away from returning to Anfield, this time in the role of manager. Only a few details remain to be settled before the deal is finalized. For now, Arne Slot remains in his position, but for how long? The Liverpool coach is clearly on borrowed time.
A return to his roots, as in Madrid
After impressing as a coach in recent seasons but completely failing at Real Madrid, Xabi Alonso is therefore preparing to take another major step in his career by returning to a club where he made history as a player. But that was already the case at Real Madrid as well.
