Paris FC are moving forward on several fronts to strengthen their attack this winter. While the Paris-based club has made an offer for Edin Dzeko, the 39-year-old striker has not yet decided on his future.
Courted by several teams, the Bosnia international has notably received an offer deemed attractive from Schalke 04, the current leaders of Germany’s second division, according to Sky. After 11 appearances in Serie A this season with Fiorentina, the former Manchester City striker wants to make a decision quickly.
Mathys Tel, the Priority
PFC can, however, rely on one advantage: the possibility for Dzeko to reunite with Stéphane Gilli, whom he worked with in the Bosnian national team.
But internally, Edin Dzeko is not the absolute priority. According to Sky, Paris FC’s number one target is Mathys Tel. At 20, the French forward, who has scored 3 goals in 15 Premier League appearances this season, is in a delicate situation at Tottenham. Thomas Frank once again left him out of the Champions League squad, confirming his secondary role and strengthening his desire to leave.
The Parisian club hopes to take advantage of this context to convince the former Rennes player, who represents a younger and more forward-looking profile, while the Dzeko file remains on hold.
