Manchester United have turned down a £30 million bid from Burnley for defender Harry Maguire, according to David Ornstein.
Burnley, Red Devils rivals ? While the offer is substantial, the Red Devils reportedly see Burnley as a direct Premier League rival and would prefer to sell the 31-year-old centre-back abroad.
Maguire, who has one year left on his contract (plus an option), remains on the market this summer. United are open to offloading him to free up wages and squad space — but not at the cost of strengthening a domestic competitor.
The defender has also been linked to clubs in Italy and Turkey, and talks could resume with foreign sides in the coming weeks.
