AC Milan are about to secure one of their pillars. With his contract expiring next June, Mike Maignan is set to extend his stay with the Lombard club, and the official announcement is now imminent. At 30, the French goalkeeper, once again indispensable this season, will continue his adventure in Italy.
According to Sky Sport Italia, a full agreement has been reached on a new deal running until June 2031. Maignan will become one of the highest-paid players in the squad, with an estimated salary of €5.7 million net per season, bonuses included.
A €6 Million Net Salary
This was a sensitive file that Milan were determined to close to avoid any unpleasant surprises. A dressing-room leader and captain, the former Lille player is considered a cornerstone of the Rossoneri project.
The extension therefore puts an end to a saga that had started to worry supporters and confirms the club’s desire to rely on Maignan for the years to come.
