Lamine Yamal is sending the market into a frenzy. According to the CIES Football Observatory, the FC Barcelona prodigy is simply the most valuable player in the world, with a staggering valuation of €343 million.
Lamine Yamal is indeed the most expensive football star in 2026. CIES has published its new ranking, and the Barça player is now valued at €343 million, an eye-watering figure.
A record-breaking valuation at just 18
At only 18 years old, the blaugrana forward tops the global top 100 unveiled on Tuesday and leaves two giants behind him: Erling Haaland (€255m) and Kylian Mbappé (€201m). They are also the only three players on the planet to break the €200 million mark.
Behind this extraordinary trio, the gap is huge. Jude Bellingham sits in fourth place at €153m, followed by the Frenchmen Michael Olise (€137m) and Désiré Doué (€135m), symbols of a new generation that is rising very fast.
In Ligue 1, PSG’s dominance is overwhelming. Among the players in the top 100, only Mason Greenwood (€64m) does not wear the Parisian shirt, with nine players from the capital’s club ahead of all the others. At 18, Lamine Yamal is no longer just a phenomenon; he is already the absolute benchmark of the global market.
