It’s nearly official: Massimiliano Allegri is on the verge of returning to AC Milan, over a decade after his departure.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 57-year-old has received a formal offer from the Rossoneri to take over from Sergio Conceição, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
A familiar face with unfinished business
Allegri previously managed AC Milan from 2010 to 2014, leading them to a Serie A title in 2011, the club’s last Scudetto before their recent resurgence. After a long stint with Juventus, where he won five league titles, Allegri is currently a free agent — and ready for a fresh challenge.
Napoli had shown interest, but it now seems Milan will be his next destination. The club is aiming to build on its recent progress and sees Allegri as the right man to guide the next phase of their project.
A return filled with ambition. A second chance. And maybe, another title.
