Arsenal continue to strengthen their midfield this summer. After securing the services of Martin Zubimendi, the Gunners have officially announced the arrival of Danish international Christian Nørgaard from Brentford.
The 31-year-old midfielder joins for a fee of £14.5 million (€17.3 million), including bonuses, and has signed a contract until June 2027, with an optional additional year. A key figure at Brentford in recent seasons, Nørgaard made 34 Premier League appearances last term, scoring 5 goals and playing a crucial role in the Bees’ midfield structure.

Known for his leadership, tactical intelligence, and ability to break up play, Nørgaard brings experience and stability to Mikel Arteta’s side. His versatility allows him to operate both as a holding midfielder and in a more advanced box-to-box role, making him a valuable asset in a demanding season ahead.
Arsenal’s summer business reflects their intent to build a squad with depth and maturity, aiming to compete across all fronts in 2025–26. With Nørgaard and Zubimendi now in the mix, the Emirates is quickly becoming home to one of the Premier League’s most complete midfield units.
