Barça is determined to keep Marcus Rashford, who has quickly become one of Hansi Flick’s favorites. But they will need to be convincing… without money.
Marcus Rashford is liked in Barcelona. From risky bets to autumn hit, everything is going well for the English forward. Six goals, seven assists, and a rapid integration into the locker room: the Englishman is a unanimous choice, to the point of being considered the offensive priority for 2026.
Flick loves his versatility, as do Laporta and Deco, and Barcelona already sees him as the ideal solution for the left side. But there is a catch: his XXL salary from Manchester United is completely incompatible with the limits of Catalan financial fair play.
Salary reduction, inflated bonuses
As a result, the club is preparing a “Barça-style” contract: reduced salary, but large bonuses and nice image rights to compensate. If Rashford agrees to the arrangement, the transfer could be finalized as early as the January transfer window.
