Jadon Sancho’s loan spell at Chelsea has come to an abrupt end. According to David Ornstein (The Athletic), the London club has decided not to activate the €30 million purchase option, cutting ties with the winger earlier than expected.
Despite showing flashes of brilliance, Sancho failed to fully convince Chelsea’s hierarchy. Behind the scenes, a contractual disagreement sealed his fate. As a result, Chelsea will reportedly pay a €6 million penalty to Manchester United for ending the deal prematurely.
