It’s official: Simone Inzaghi is no longer the head coach of Inter Milan. Just three days after the crushing 5–0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League final, the club has announced his departure.
Appointed in 2021, the 51-year-old Italian exits with an impressive trophy haul: 1 Scudetto, 2 Coppa Italia titles, 3 Supercoppa Italiana wins.
Most notably, he led Inter to their 20th league title, securing the club’s coveted second star—a feat that cements his legacy alongside managerial legends like Helenio Herrera, Giovanni Trapattoni, Roberto Mancini, and José Mourinho.
Saudi move for Inzaghi
Inzaghi won’t be unemployed for long. Multiple sources report he’s set to sign a two-year deal with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, worth a staggering €50 million. A new adventure, and a new payday.
Fabregas to the San Siro?
Inter, meanwhile, are already working on the next chapter. Talks are progressing with Cesc Fàbregas, currently coaching Serie A newcomers Como. Discussions have been ongoing for weeks, and a deal could be finalized before the weekend.
The Spaniard, known for his tactical vision and elite playing career, could bring fresh energy and bold ideas to a team entering a new cycle.
A new era is dawning at Inter Milan—and all eyes are on Fàbregas.
