Carlos Baleba is slipping out of Paris Saint-Germain’s reach. The 21-year-old Cameroonian midfielder, currently under contract with Brighton until 2028, has been on Luis Campos and Luis Enrique’s radar for months — but the deal now looks dead in the water.
According to PSG Inside Actus, the situation has taken a major turn, with Brighton reportedly demanding between €100M and €120M for their rising star. That valuation alone has cooled PSG’s interest, but there’s more: Baleba is determined to stay in the Premier League and is targeting a Champions League move.
Too expensive even for PSG
While AC Milan and Inter are keeping an eye on the situation, Baleba is said to favour a transfer to a top English club like Liverpool, Chelsea, or Manchester City. Brighton, for their part, are under no pressure to sell and could even reject offers over £115M (€139M).
All signs now point to PSG moving on from this target, shifting focus to more feasible midfield options for the summer window.
