According to The Independent, Everton are planning to sign Jack Grealish on loan. The 29-year-old Manchester City winger has fallen out of favour with Pep Guardiola and was left out of the squad for the Club World Cup. He is now free to explore other options.
Napoli have shown interest, but Everton believe they have a real shot due to Grealish’s desire to remain in the north of England, where he lives with his long-term partner and their daughter born last September.
Grealish wants to stay in north England
David Moyes is ready to build his team around Grealish, offering him more creative freedom than he had under Guardiola, where many believe his free-spirited style was restricted. Grealish was recently seen at an Oasis concert in Manchester, declaring his love for City and its fans.
With Everton entering a new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and backed by ambitious new owner Dan Friedkin, the club wants to make a statement in the market.
At the same time, Everton are also in talks with Lyon for Malick Fofana (20). The Belgian forward is valued at over £40 million by the French club, but he is reportedly open to a move, even without Champions League football, if the right project is presented.
