Michel Der Zakarian’s return to FC Nantes has never seemed closer. According to several sources, the 63-year-old coach is on the verge of signing a two-year contract to succeed Vahid Halilhodzic on the Canaries’ bench.
A familiar figure at La Beaujoire, Der Zakarian is already preparing for his arrival with an experienced coaching staff. David Bechkoura, his trusted assistant at Brest, Montpellier, and Caen, is expected to join him for this new Nantes adventure.

Another expected addition is Vitorino Hilton. The former Montpellier defensive icon is set to join the technical staff after serving as an assistant coach under Jean-Louis Gasset and later Zoumana Camara in southern France.
Some members of the current setup are likely to remain. Faouzi Amzal, who arrived from Red Star last summer, is expected to keep his role as goalkeeping coach. Changes are also anticipated within the medical department, with Maxime Coutrel, currently head of the Academy’s medical team, tipped to replace Isabelle Salaün following her recent departure.
Unless there is a dramatic last-minute twist, Michel Der Zakarian is preparing for another return to Nantes, where he will be tasked with restoring stability and delivering results for a club eager to regain its place among France’s elite.
