Lamine Yamal, the Spanish wonderkid turning heads all over Europe, has been linked with a sensational move to Paris. Rumours suggested PSG were ready to dive back into galáctico-style spending, even splashing over €200 million to lure the Barça superstar. But the truth is already out: Paris isn’t jumping in.
Whispers claimed PSG might go all-in with a €230m bid in the coming months. But according to Fabrice Hawkins, that storyline is pure fiction.
PSG not really keen on Yamal?
According to the journalist, neither Luis Enrique nor Luís Campos have any intention of chasing the teenager, and the reason is clear: the astronomical fee set by FC Barcelona.
Speaking on Aliotalk, Hawkins revealed:
“In the current PSG, Luis Enrique and Luis Campos have not given the green light for Lamine Yamal. It goes against what they’re trying to build. If they have to get him tomorrow, it will cost more than €200m. At that price, considering the current squad, will they go for him? I don’t think so.”
In short: Yamal is an incredible talent, but nowhere near a PSG priority, especially at that price tag.
