It’s one of the biggest moves of the summer: Al Hilal has reached an agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Darwin Nuñez.
According to Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein, the Saudi giants will pay €53 million plus bonuses for the Uruguayan striker, who has struggled for consistency in recent months at Anfield.
Nuñez’s exit marks a new chapter in Liverpool’s attacking rebuild. Hugo Ekitike, recently signed from Eintracht Frankfurt, has already been officially unveiled. The young Frenchman is seen as a high-upside gamble, aiming to prove himself in the Premier League.
But the Reds aren’t stopping there. Alexander Isak (Newcastle) is reportedly also on the radar. More experienced than Ekitike, the Swedish forward can play centrally or out wide — a profile that could complement Mohamed Salah perfectly if the Egyptian stays.
Things are heating up at Anfield, and this transfer window could still have plenty of fireworks in store.
