City’s goal is clear: sign Guehi this winter to stay ahead of the competition. Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the player, but they hope to sign him for free when his contract expires in June, so Pep Guardiola’s club could move quickly to fill Gvardiol’s absence and secure a major defensive reinforcement.
