AS Monaco is reportedly ready to relaunch Ansu Fati’s (22) career after a challenging season at Barcelona FC.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the French club is among the teams interested in the winger, whose contract with Barça runs until 2027.
The report states that “Monaco wants to sign Ansu Fati,” as the player has struggled with recurring injuries and increased competition from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
Ansu Fati, the Replacement for Maghnes Akliouche?
After a loan spell at Brighton, Fati returned to Barça, but his role remains limited, with only 11 appearances this season. Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has opened the door for a potential departure, saying, “If he feels he needs more playing time, we will discuss it. He’s under contract with us, and we’re happy with him,” without specifying the terms of any potential exit.
Monaco could look to reignite the Spanish international’s career, with negotiations yet to be defined. He could replace Maghnes Akliouche, who is expected to leave, with the PSG in the mix for his signature.
