José Mourinho is reportedly on the verge of completing a sensational return to Real Madrid. According to reports from the Spanish media and Fabrizio Romano, the Portuguese manager has reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish giants for a two-year contract.

The “Special One” is expected to arrive in Madrid immediately after the match against Athletic Bilbao. And it seems Florentino Pérez rolled out the red carpet to convince Mourinho to come back. Real Madrid have reportedly accepted all of the Portuguese coach’s demands, giving him almost total control over the sporting project. A massive decision that confirms Madrid’s ambition to launch another ultra-competitive era.

Another major detail is that Mourinho no longer wants to deal with certain media obligations imposed by top clubs. Real Madrid have reportedly agreed to limit press conferences considered unnecessary by the Portuguese manager. Finally, the “Special One” will be allowed to bring his entire personal staff to rebuild the team entirely in his own way.

After several years of waiting, José Mourinho now appears close to returning to the Real Madrid bench. An explosive comeback that could reignite the rivalry with Barcelona, while also shaking up the Madrid dressing room as early as this summer.
