Struggling at Chelsea, Christopher Nkunku could soon be smiling again — in Bavaria. Bayern Munich are seriously considering the French forward to reinforce their depleted attack, and the move has all the signs of a perfect comeback.
Bayern’s Attack in Crisis : With Musiala injured, Müller gone, Sané out, and Wirtz and Williams out of reach, Bayern are short on firepower. Nkunku? He ticks every box: Bundesliga experience, versatility, efficiency. The 27-year-old knows the league and the pressure.
World Cup in Sight
Signed for €70m, Nkunku never truly settled at Chelsea. Limited starts, recurring injuries… yet he still finished as the Blues’ second top scorer (15 goals) — with half the minutes of Cole Palmer.
And with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Nkunku can’t afford another season on the bench. A return to Germany, especially with Bayern, would give him both exposure and playing time. Chelsea are said to want at least €40m — a fee well within reach for the German champions.
