It’s now confirmed: Olivier Giroud has terminated his contract with Los Angeles FC. The 38-year-old striker, who scored 5 goals in 37 MLS appearances, will play one final match for LAFC on Monday against Vancouver before flying back to France.

Giroud is set to sign with Lille, with his arrival expected in the next few hours. Attracted by the project in northern France, the 2018 World Cup winner agreed to a pay cut from his previous €3 million gross salary in the US.
