Olympique de Marseille have found their new head coach. According to reports from RMC Sport, Bruno Genesio will replace Habib Beye on the Marseille bench for the 2026-27 season.
Bruno Genesio is set to become OM’s next manager, as confirmed by both Foot Mercato and RMC Sport. After a successful campaign with Lille, which ended with a third-place finish in Ligue 1 and qualification for the UEFA Champions League, the French coach is preparing to take on a new challenge on the Mediterranean coast.
Genesio’s Trusted Staff Set to Join Marseille
According to RMC Sport and journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Genesio will not be arriving in Marseille alone. His coaching staff is already close to being finalized. Assistants Dimitri Farbos and Jérémie Bréchet are expected to follow him, along with goalkeeping coach Nicolas Dehon, who previously worked alongside him at Lille.
Another member of the coaching team could also join OM, although that individual’s identity has not yet been revealed. The club appears determined to give its new manager a familiar and trusted working environment from day one.
Despite interest from several foreign clubs following his impressive season with Lille, Genesio reportedly chose to remain in France for personal reasons. The former Lyon manager is expected to sign a two-year contract with an option for an additional season. His mission is clear: restore Marseille to the top level of French football and guide the club on a strong Champions League run next season.
