It’s official: Eddy Doué (2005) is already leaving Paris Saint-Germain. While Désiré Doué remains in Paris, his cousin is packing his bags for Portugal. The young Franco-Ivorian midfielder has signed with Estrela Amadora in the Portuguese top flight.
Official: PSG sell Eddy Doué and bring in some money. Touted as a player with strong potential and backed by part of the fan base who hoped to see him join Luis Enrique’s squad, Eddy Doué ultimately never got his chance in Paris. Having arrived in 2024, he was never really considered for the first team.
To get minutes, he had to leave
Eddy Doué wanted playing time and will go look for it elsewhere. PSG, for their part, chose above all not to let him leave for free. With his contract set to expire next June, the Parisian club preferred to sell him now and secure a percentage of a future resale. A very “post-Mbappé” decision.
Rather than see him depart for nothing in a few months, Paris cash in and keep an eye on the future. A quiet exit, but a case handled in a much more pragmatic way this time.
