Paris Saint-Germain haven’t given up on Tomás Araújo. The 23-year-old Benfica centre-back, already targeted last summer, remains a key option to provide cover for Marquinhos.
According to Foot Mercato, PSG are closely monitoring his situation, though no formal offer has yet been made. Araújo has played 43 matches this season and is under contract until 2029, with an €80 million release clause.
Luis Enrique appreciates his profile, but PSG face competition from Chelsea and Liverpool. One concern, however, is Araújo’s lingering groin injury (pubalgia), which hasn’t sidelined him yet but is being watched carefully.
PSG are considering several defensive options—but Araújo stays near the top of their shortlist.
