OFFICIAL: Paulo César appointed head coach of PSG Women’s team until 2026.
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the appointment of Paulo César as the new head coach of their women’s first team. The former PSG player (2002–2007) has signed a contract through June 2026.
César, who joined the PSG Women’s academy staff in 2020, led the U19s to the French title this past season — a trophy the club hadn’t won since 2019. In May, he stepped in as interim head coach for the senior team and guided them to a 3–0 win over Paris FC at the Parc des Princes, securing a place in the Arkema D1 Play-Off final and a ticket to the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
“It’s a dream come true”
This appointment reflects PSG’s strategy to promote from within and strengthen their identity, with a coach who knows the club’s values and structure inside out.
“It’s a dream come true and a huge responsibility. I’m fully committed to this project and determined to take the team even higher,” said Paulo César.
PSG congratulates Paulo César on his new role and wishes him great success in leading the Rouge et Bleu.
